Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs) – D.Pharm
To prepare diploma graduates with strong fundamental knowledge and practical skills in pharmaceutical sciences for employment in community pharmacies, hospitals, pharmaceutical industries, and healthcare settings.
To enable students to practice safe and effective dispensing of medicines, understand drug actions, dosage forms, and patient counseling, and comply with professional and regulatory standards.
To develop ethical values, communication abilities, teamwork, and responsibility, enabling graduates to adapt to evolving pharmaceutical and healthcare environments and pursue lifelong learning or further education (B.Pharm).
Program Outcomes (POs) – D.Pharm
Apply basic knowledge of pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacology, pharmacognosy, and human anatomy & physiology to support pharmacy practice.
Identify, analyze, and resolve drug-related and prescription-related problems in dispensing, storage, and patient care under professional guidelines.
Perform accurate dispensing, compounding, labeling, and storage of medicines while ensuring patient safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
Utilize basic laboratory techniques and pharmaceutical instruments for preparation, testing, and evaluation of pharmaceutical products.
Apply knowledge of drug laws, pharmaceutical ethics, and pharmacy regulations in professional practice with responsibility towards public health and safety.
Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and colleagues, providing proper medication counseling and health education.
Demonstrate professional behavior, teamwork, and accountability while working independently or as part of healthcare and pharmacy teams.

Candidate must have passed 10+2 (Science stream)
Subjects required: Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Mathematics
Minimum 50% aggregate marks (as per institute / regulatory norms)
