A teacher counselor programs has been organized by Goel Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences sponsored by Janssen where speaker was Dr. Archana Shukla who is MD Psychiatry in Sahara Hospital. She enlighten us by sharing her views and by performing some practical sessions on Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) which is one of the most common behavioral and neurodevelopmental disorders characterized by hyperactivity, impulsivity and inattention in children and adolescents. Prenatal, Perinatal and Postnatal risk factors for ADHD are studied extensively, but there is a lacuna of information with regard to the Indian population. She also discussed early risk factors for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder among Indian children include poor maternal health, maternal stress and speech delay and methods to combate it.

Goel institute of pharmaceutical sciences have organized a visit at Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic plants is a Research Institute of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research with its headquarter in Lucknow for our students. It was very beneficial for students because they got extra practical knowledge about cultivation, collection, extraction and uses of medicinal and aromatic plants. A batch of 75 students along with their faculties from the college visited CSIR-CIMAP lab and also interact with scientists. Scientists from different field in CIMAP interacted with these students and students learned more about the different types of medicinal plants, their cultivation and extraction techniques. Then students made different laboratory visit where scientists explained over all process. This visit is the part of educational tour as well as any professional course during which students learned more and more about medicinal and aromatic plants.
